We Love Our City

We partner with a variety of projects and ministries around our city & beyond to help bring reconciliation and redemption to the poor, marginalized and oppressed.

Justice Partnerships.

Our vision is to partner with what God is already doing in our city and everywhere. To that end, we partner with organizations already doing great work in our community.

Homelessness

Colorado Village Collaborative

Colorado Village Collaborative exists to bridge the gap between the streets and stable housing by creating and operating transformational shelter communities in partnership with people experiencing homelessness.

Refugees

Project Worthmore
  • Let’s join Project Worthmore in making a difference in the lives of refugees and newcomers. We focus on helping with their food share and English Language Learning programs.

Yu Meh Food Share: This food share program not only repurposes fresh fruits and veggies that would otherwise be wasted, it also addresses food insecurity in the Denver area. Supporting over 120 refugee families in need, volunteers unload, sort, package and distribute over a thousand pounds of food each week.

English Language Learning Program: Assist certified instructors in the classroom and work alongside refugees on reading, writing, speaking, and citizenship test preparation. Classes are run in partnership with Emily Griffith Technical College and follow a formal curriculum.

We are looking for volunteers for in-person classes and study sessions who are able to commit for at least six weeks.

Racial Justice & Reconciliation

Faithbridge & Kinship Church

One of the key ways EDV seeks to love our city is through pursuing racial justice and reconciliation. EDV supports the efforts of Pastor Vernon Jones, Jr. and his education-equity organization, Faithbridge and his church, Kinship Church, to offer Angel Café at Church In the City on Tuesdays-Thursdays.

This initiative was born out of a crisis response to the gun violence at East High School in 2023. Join Faithbridge to offer a safe space for East High School students during their lunch break by staffing lunch kiosks and offering a listening ear and prayer. To sign up, email Larry Thomas (larry@faithbridgeco.org) and mention you’re serving with East Denver Vineyard: .
